The Cry for a VisionWomen have always been the nourishers of the world. Healing the world requires women to re-define the power of “we”. With faith, Love and forward thinking, we hold in our hearts the key to success. This key unleashes the power of changing our thinking, and how we see the world lies in the heartbeat of every woman. Our earth mother, Turtle Island as she is called by some, is calling for her daughters to heed her warnings and help her heal her wounds. She calls out to us and asks us to pray. She asks us to connect our heartbeat, for hers grows faint as she weakens every day afflicted by the diseases created by the human. The grandmothers call us to nourish her and her children, our brothers and sisters. We wait. We pray, and allow our children to die for the sake of the whole. Still, the power of life is taken for the sake of man. We lose one heartbeat after another for the sake of a few. The wound is infected and many go to try and heal her. But the parasites continue to eat her with no relief in sight. As we move into a new vibration cycle in 2008 we are reminded that it is a time for change and pioneering a new shift in our thinking. The time has come for women to resolve to become leaders for the sake of the next 7 generations. It is time to organize, clear our minds and get to work. It is time to answer the call of our mother and to respond with the heartbeat that women know, being the givers of life. We are called to restore balance to our earth mother. We are called too help her gain her strength, to help her heal her wounds of assaults, the poisoning and violations of her body.
The VisionThe Mission is here: A gathering of women, the grandmothers, mothers and the daughters of all. To see our sisters, our friends and lovers who are ready to start something great. It’s all about you; it’s all about me, together it is “We”. Imagine how powerful this can be, listening to our heartbeats growing strong. A heartbeat that is a stand for Peace. We the Turtle Women are rising, rising to help our mother, rising to witness her cries for the loss of all lives. We the Turtle Women are rising, rising to speak through our hearts, through the beat of the drum that connects all life for all times. We come together to shake loose the parasitic thinking in the heart of the wound. We have no words. We have no anger. We are Turtle Women Rising, rising for Peace. Rising in Love, in Song, and in Prayer. Our faith grows strong in our own knowing. The Power of Love, the Power of life. Yes, we can imagine that. We rise to support the tears of all life givers and hold in our hearts the pain of violence, the hope of healing. We are strengthened by the faith in our own walk. We are here to raise the vibration, and to bring the Light closer to ourselves, to each other. We are here to shine this Light on the wounds of our Mother who is so desperately trying to heal. This is the Light that will heal the holes in our hearts. Our drums resonate that Vibration, that Light, and the remembrance of Life.

Turtle Women Rising is honored to be a fiscal project of the Center for Sacred Studies (CSS), a California 501c3 nonprofit organization, through THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF THIRTEEN INDIGENOUS GRANDMOTHERS.
The Grandmothers' Alliance Statement below is from their website.:
WE, THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF THIRTEEN INDIGENOUS GRANDMOTHERS, represent a global alliance of prayer, education and healing for our Mother Earth, all Her inhabitants, all the children, and for the next seven generations to come. We are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our Mother Earth and the destruction of indigenous ways of life. We believe the teachings of our ancestors will light our way through an uncertain future. We look to further our vision through the realization of projects that protect our diverse cultures: lands, medicines, language and ceremonial ways of prayer and through projects that educate and nurture our children.
ABOUT CSS: CSS is dedicated to sustaining indigenous ways of life through cross-cultural spiritual practices, ministry, and education, and is committed to peace and unity for all peoples. The vision shared by both CSS and the Grandmothers calls for the Earth1s first nation peoples to unite for the benefit of all beings.
