Is this an anti-war event?

The event is a stand for Peace and Healing of the Earth and its inhabitants. There will be no protesting or anti-war messages at this event.

Why the drum?

The drum is the heartbeat that brings us all together. Every culture on our planet has its own drum. It is our birthright. Before there were words, there was the drum. It is a universal language as old as humanity itself. The drum has always been used to bring people together and to raise our spiritual consciousness. It is this spiritual language that calls forth healing and unity.

I don’t know how to drum. Is there a place for me at this event?

Yes, all are welcome. It is not necessary to already know how to drum. If we listen to our heartbeat we will remember what we have forgotten. We invite you to a life changing process.

What kind of drum should I bring?

All drums from all cultures are welcome. Bring a drum that speaks to and through you.
Bring one that you will be able to carry and care for while you are there.

What do you mean by prayer or drum prayer? Will people be reciting prayers at this event?

A thought for healing and unity can be considered a prayer. Songs are prayers. Music is a prayer. The drum has the power to enlarge our vibrations of good thoughts into the universe to manifest what we wish to create. What you think, you speak. What you speak becomes what you do. What you do becomes a part of you and creates your character. Your character becomes your destiny. It is with our thoughts, songs and intentions that we wish to manifest a destiny of Peace and Healing.  Our prayer will be through the drum.  We may ask elders to offer a morning prayer as well.

Where can I stay while I’m there?

Each person is responsible for her/his housing during this event.  We will help by putting a list of hotels and hostels on the web site.   We'll also use either the web site or the yahoo group to help people who are coming to Washington to request and offer housing.
